  • POINT CLASSES

Appendix A contains the list of classes offered for the current show season.  All CFTA classes, unless otherwise noted are eligible for CFTA year-end points.

For 2012, CFTA will recognize the following Overall Year-End High Point Champions and Reserve Champions:

    • Versatility Champion:  To the MFT horse earning the most points during the show season in versatility classes: Model, Showmanship, Trail, In-Hand Trail, Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Equitation, Fox Trot Pleasure (will lope), Country Pleasure, Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.
    • Performance Champion: To the MFT horse earning the most points during the show season in performance classes, as well as Model, Equitation, English Pleasure, Country Pleasure and Fox Trot Pleasure (lope) ñ these 5 classes count towards either Performance or Versatility Overall High Point Awards.
    • Youth Champion: Youth rider (17 and under) earning the most points during the show season.
The Board may modify, combine, delete or add other approved classes as needed.
  • POINT SYSTEM

    1. CFTA uses the same point system as the MFTHBA Regional Point Competition.  Points are awarded based on the total number of Horses in each class, with only the top five placing horses receiving points.  In open breed classes, points awarded to Fox Trotters will reflect the position of placing by the judge, regardless of breed.
